Rajado is an audiovisual performance that aims to interpret the astrophysical phenomenon 𝐹𝑅𝐵 or \”fast radio burst\”, a transient high-energy radio pulse detected for the first time in the vicinity of planet Earth in 2007. Its passage is fleeting and lasts only a few milliseconds, but emits as much energy as the sun is capable of in 80 years. The origin of the signals, captured more than 85 times since their discovery, is still uncertain. The drive is ephemeral, without determination, direction or destination, it is transitory/lost matter in space, subject to chance. The performance explores synesthesia and abstraction experiences from a contemporary vocabulary, through abstract scenarios built by colors and shapes that expand and reconfigure themselves, combined with dense sound masses added to mesmerizing sound microcomponents.
