The Open Source Community isn’t only limited to the programmers , artists and users of said programs and environment. It also extends to the communities and networks that can grow and link non users and users together. Within the project : The Preacha Draws and the Rambler Speaks, we are embarking on a journey, where the open source mentality is used to make an audiovisual work.Which will be enhanced by the poetry and script that are motivated by the artwork presented through open source means. The first portion of the work is embedded in a state , where the Preacha uses an array of open source tools to convey words and emotions from Rambling Intellect interaction with the pieces. In the second phase, Rambling Intellects start speaking through the code and open source environments and Illest preacha rebuttals with what he is expressing. This mirrors the need of open communication as inspiration and through these occurrences that these environments can extend themselves to another level, if we are mindful that space and distance can be a motivating tool as the Rambler and the Preacha are united even though 1000’s of miles away In this iteration, more tools , experiences and aspects shall be added. Past the Rebuttal and poetry of the first one.
BIO: Illest Preacha: My artistic practice is an observation of the world around us, that I then put into artworks for others to relate to or disagree with. Through Videography, Poetry and Creative Coding, I try to highlight the realms of the human performance and the human mind in different scenarios. These situations can be described as social, internal, or even biological, which we face in our everyday lives. Adding music and visuals often helps to perceive one\’s own feelings, and to highlight the different subtleties that make us human. With a dose of technology, there is an endless range of progress in the human creative endeavours.
