“Fechos (clasps)” is a performance developed in 2015, based on autobiographical references about the violence that crosses the \”corpas\” (bodyes). During the covid-19 pandemic, the work was transferred to video support, with the development of a video performance. Synopsis: How many clasps surround it? How many clasps fit before they are opened? What and how many violences cross the body? Of the insistence on closing, of what jumps to the eye and that transforms.
Aline Pinheiro Salmin is an artist, with a BA in Dance from the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU) and a Master\’s student in Performing Arts at the Postgraduate Program in Performing Arts (PPGAC) at the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU) and a FAPEMIG scholarship holder. During his graduation in art, he developed works on the interfaces between contemporary dance and performance, highlighting “Borra” and “Fechos”. She lives in Uberlândia/MG, where she develops academic and artistic research linked to studies of genders, feminisms and sexualities, based on interfaces between performance, contemporary dance, photography and text. He is interested in aesthetic and political strategies of resignification of terms of data about what \”body\” is and can be, in its practical multiplicities of existence. It also works in the field of cultural production, developing and executing writing and elaborating cultural projects for different mechanisms to encourage executive production of projects and events.
