Vena Naskrecka (Keflavik, Iceland): Re-Covery

Vena Naskrecka is a visual artist working in live performance, installation and video art. Her transmedial art practice ignores media or disciplinary boundaries and extends to international collaborations with diverse artists, scientists and IT professionals. Form more than a decade her research has focused on the human condition, the relationship between body and objects and interdependence of the individual and global environment. Vena graduated with a MA degree in Fine Art- Art and Process from CIT Crawford College of Art & Design, in Cork, Ireland and a BA degree in Fine Arts from Hanze University Groningen – Academy Minerva in the Netherlands. She recently received Icelandic Visual Art Fund and i-Portunus Grand from the Creative Europe- EU Program. She lives and works in Reykjanesbær. ARTIST’S WEBSITE
