“Hipertrofia del yo. Mi felicidad de algodón de azúcar” (Ego hypertrophy. My cotton candy happiness), is a performative multimedia experience that proposes a body fragmented by virtuality, intimacy in moments of pandemic and mediated ego. Enthralled by this shared intimacy, we developed a piece made with the Zoom platform, broadcast live on YouTube. From our houses, each one exposing this mediated ego. In dialogue with Paula Sibilia in her text “La intimacy as a spectacle ”(2008), we start from the premise that if we were previously mobilized now it\’s the cherry we eat all day: “El show del yo” (The me show). Small scenes framed by inserting through the Zoom platform. We perform scenes live; appreciations of the intimate. Everyday life, the close-up shot, intimate actions for the camera, exhibitions of analog and virtual filters, of that published private life. The body in its habitat of solitude but linked to a device. We mix our daily lives with an interface of extravagances. Using low-tech, apps and softwares that give us filters and masks, among other tools, to modify the environment of the experience.
