“King Lear In Less Than Two and A Half Minutes” by Grant Guy

Using object theatre/performance to summarize and capture the essence of Shakespeare’s classic work as a DADA DUMB.  A DADA DUMB is a short nonsensical performance that is done in the spirit of pataphysics and aura of wabi sabi. DADA DUMBS can be complex or simple. They are performed with little or no rehearsals.

Grant Guy is a Winnipeg, Canada, creator of works of object theatre, invisible theatre and DADA DUMBS. He was the Manitoba Arts Council’s 2004 Artist of Distinction Award and the Winnipeg Arts Council’s 2015 RBC Making A Difference Award. His work has been performed throughout Canada.
